Our relationship with God is certainly the most precious treasure that we possess. If Jesus is indeed the way, the truth and the life, then a life lived apart from Him is neither true nor real. Such is simply a farce, a sham, a mask covering what could be. If all things were created by Him, through Him and for Him, then without Him there can be no meaningful existence. If all things consist in Him, cohering and being held together by Him, then should our relationship with Him weaken and break, our lives will quickly fall into shambles. If He is indeed the light of the world, then all is darkness, gloom and depression without Him. Surely, we cannot afford to take our eyes off of our Saviour for a single instant!
