Situated some 60km outside of Johannesburg, South Africa, the township of Orange Farm enjoyed an overdose of the miraculous from 7 – 13 February 2011. Held at the Chris Hani Stadium, we were told by local pastors that never before had a crusade brought such unity among the churches. “You have chained up the demons of Orange Farm” declared one pastor, “and our lives are going to change for the better.” Another church leader joyously told us that although she had been to many crusades, this particular crusade was so wonderful that it felt like the first. “This crusade makes me rejoice that I am a child of God!” she said.

OUR REDEEMER LIVES
Each evening, the Gospel went forth with striking simplicity, both young and old flooding the aisles and pushing to the front hungry to accept Christ as Saviour. A certain young man named Johannes had been released from prison just a few days earlier, having served time for assaulting his younger sister. “With Jesus, there is nothing that is impossible, but with Jesus, everything is possible!” he declared on receiving Christ as Saviour, his face glowing with a newfound peace. Yet another, Lerato, eagerly shared her heart with us: “I just gave my life to Jesus,” she chattered, “I feel so happy inside, I am so glad that I came! From now on, my life will change. I will live happily, like never before.”

BY HIS STRIPES, WE ARE HEALED
Following hot on the heels of the salvation floodtide, came an abundance of life-changing healings and deliverances. “My neighbour could not see for seven years. Now, after seven years, her eyes are open!” Dolly Sangweni shared excitedly. Dolly herself also received healing, leaving the crusade entirely set free from the arthritis that had crippled her hands, legs and hips. Daphne, a stroke victim, had been frustrated by a constant numbing and pain in her one side, making it difficult to stand. “I experienced a miracle tonight,” she said, “I can’t explain it!” Another testified of being loosed from a ringing in her ears that had persisted for several years. Still another who had been struggling with constant bleeding for half a decade, testified of her blood flow ceasing immediately upon prayer. Still others were liberated from a variety of ailments, from tumours and epilepsy, to stomach cramps, problematic backs and kidney infections. A lady testified of her congested lungs immediately clearing up as she entered the crusade venue. What can we say, our God could not wait to leap into action!

A GLORIOUS GIFT
The Saturday evening service saw the Gospel message being followed by teaching and prayer for the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Many pressed to the front to receive this glorious gift. As the people cried out to heaven, the fire fell with awesome power, divine chaos breaking out in every corner. A torrent of new tongues filled the atmosphere, tears streaming down faces as the recipients were overwhelmed by the power of God.

FIREBRAND CONFERENCE
On the mornings of 9 – 11 February, we coupled the evening crusade meetings with dynamic teaching sessions on the Holy Spirit and evangelism, specifically aimed at pastors and church leaders. On both the Wednesday and Thursday mornings, both Tamryn and associate evangelist Samuel Murrombe addressed the pastors and church leaders in attendance on key principles for effective soul-winning. On the Friday morning, the baptism in the Holy Spirit was prayed for with hands being laid on all. What a glorious occasion! A true firestorm broke out as church workers were set ablaze with power from on high. “The Lord changed me today, I am going home a changed man!” said Ps. Ernest, one of the leaders who attended the conference. A church elder by the name of Francina keenly gushed, “I received the Holy Spirit today and I spoke with tongues! I can feel the fire in me, hallelujah!”

Pastors and their leaders keenly attended the three-day conference
